RWD and HTML
 Print

FirstClass has the ability to interpret literal HTML in the main body content. This is a very powerful feature of FirstClass as it allows you to create effects and include web objects in your page that are not included in the FirstClass or RWD tool sets.

To add HTML (including Flash and other types of content),  simply type or paste your HTML code into the body section of your RWD page and highlight the text that you wish to be interpreted as HTML code (make sure that any resources your code needs such as image files etc, are uploaded to your site in an appropriately named folder.

26072004_43833_0.pngOpen the Format Text menu (right-click on the body of the document and select the "format text option" or use the CTRL-M key combination) and check the  "Literal HTML" checkbox (see image at right). This will make the page render the content to the web as literal HTML.

Even if you are using an HTML Page body, you can still take advantage of the formatting capabilities of RWD by including the Header Section, Header Links Bar, etc.
FirstClass will render the normal Page Body content into HTML automatically (it will convert the content into HTML as opposed to assuming that the content is HTML code), so the added literal HTML will merely be included with the rendered content on the web. This is how the RWD Content and the added HTML are integrated into the web page.RWD HTML.png
As can be seen on the screen shot above, literal HTML can be mixed with RWD Content easily.

And this is how the Internet browser will display the combination of the RWD content and the Literal HTML. As you can see, all of the content that was made into HTML, in this case the bullets and the logo at the bottom of the page, was accepted as code and executed.
